OTTAWA — For the second time in as many weeks, Canada’s major banks have hiked rates on fixed-term mortgages.
Most increased their three-, four- and five-year rates by 0.4 percentage points on Wednesday.
The move brought average posted rates on those mortgages to 4.55 per cent (three-year), 5.34 per cent (four-year) and 5.85 per cent (five-year).
